Sampling System for anhydrous Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) into a PFA bottle. From our inline sample valve, a directly representative sample is captured in a standard 500ml PFA bottle in a totally safe way.
1) Prepare the bottle by adding a precise amount of deionized water and letting the water freeze overnight.
2) Before sampling, break the ice to make small pieces inside the bottle.
3) Connect the bottle to the REVO-BOX.
4) Grab the sample of HF: When HF comes into contact with water, heat is created a fumes are released. This process occurs inside the REVO-BOX and fumes are channeled through a vent connection.
5) Disconnect the bottle and screw the cap back on without opening the box.
6) Open the box and bring the neutralized HF sample to the lab for analysis
This process happens in a closed/controlled environment and the product doesn't come in contact with the atmosphere. The operator is therefore not exposed and PPE becomes the last barrier of protection.
