The DC UPS is dustproof and waterproof according to protection classes IP65/IP67. The high-quality aluminum housing contains the complete DC UPS control and charging electronics as well as the LiFePO4 battery pack for long autonomy times. In normal operation, the UPSI-IP makes the nominal voltage supplied by the mains available at the output, charges the battery pack and monitors the voltage thresholds at the input. If the voltage falls below the defined threshold, the system switches over to UPS backup mode within fractions of a second and ensures an uninterrupted and regulated voltage supply at the output.
