FRAMES is the high-productivity 5-axis centre of the QUBE range designed for the machining of acetate and light alloy frames. Like all other machines in the QUBE family, it also inherits its distinguishing feature: each axis has a stroke of 300mm, so as to form a working area equal to a cube of 300mm side.
QUBE FRAMES was developed with the aim of constructing a 5-axis machining centre for the production of frames that was compact and easy to equip but at the same time fast, in order to ensure reduced machining times.
The machining centre is equipped with an automatic tool change and a 20 tool crib.
The vertical liquid-cooled spindle has a power of 2.6kW (S1) and a maximum rotation speed of 45,000 rpm. The tool holder is HSK 25 type, while the collet is ER 16 type.
The maximum speed of the linear axes is 50,000 mm/min and the maximum speed of the rotary axes is 30,000 degrees/min.
QUBE FRAMES is fitted with an automatic workpiece loading/unloading system. The crib of blank strips is equipped with a single stop-area belt conveyor, and it can contain max 200 blank strips. The machining chentre is provided with a revolutionary workpiece positioning system, by which it is possible to carry out various frame front models without having to re-program the blank strip loading and transfer cycles or making any mechanical adjustment, as the self-centering vice manages the positioning of the inside and outside machining automatically.
Another very special feature of QUBE FRAMES enables forming the nose onboard directly.
The loading arm is also equipped with a rotary collet, which enables tilting the workpiece during machining in order to enable working both frame front sides.
