This expansion joint is made of two articulated bellows joined by means of an intermediate sleeve. These expansion joints, in addition to allowing angular rotation along any plane, can absorb large lateral movements, depending upon the length of the central sleeve.
Characteristics and properties
Angular movements along only one plane.
Large lateral movements.
Positive control over the movement of the bellows.
Retains the force of the pressure.
Does not require fixed anchoring in the system.
Protects the bellows from torsional movements.
Low forces in the pipe system.
Can be designed to support the weight of the pipes.
The set of articulations for the two bellows must be designed to support the force of the pressure.
