In the processing of bulk materials, often considerable quantities of fine particles (dust) accumulate which must be reliably separated and which then represent an important economic recyclable material for our customers. With the high-performance cyclone separator, Binder+Co has succeeded in offering its customers a robust, low-maintenance solution for many industry sectors. Its reduced construction height makes it possible to retrofit the separator in existing plants. Additionally, the Binder+Co cyclone separator is a guarantor for high separation and selectivity. With only 30% of the overall investment costs and very low maintenance costs as compared to filter plants, it is extremely interesting from an economic point of view.
The Binder+Co cyclone separator at work
The gas or exhaust air is put into a rotary movement through a 360° entry spiral. The centrifugal power thus produced separates the particles in the gross and fine separation zones in a separation chamber. The solid material flows through an annular gap to the material collection cone.
A leakage airstream produced by the inlet nozzle forms a low-dust boundary layer flow in the cyclone head, thus guaranteeing an enhanced separation performance. The purified gas (exhaust air) then leaves the separation chamber at a reduced pressure loss through the central guidance duct in an upward direction via the spiral exhaust hood.
