They are constructed of aluminium for durability and are available in heated and unheated versions. The sensor is available in a number of variants including digital and analogue outputs. Heated versions are available for use in regions prone to freezing. The First Class Wind Direction Transmitter has recently undergone an upgrade resulting in a change of part number.
