Blackmer® TXV Rotary Vane Pumps, are part of the Iron Line of sliding vane pumps, feature and open-rotor design and have been specifically designed for the high-temperature transfer of thick, viscous fluids, including asphalts. The key to the versatility of these pumps is the unique Blackmer sliding vane rotor design that self-adjusts for wear to provide a sustained, high level performance over a wide viscosity range. Slow operating speeds and non-pulsating flow minimizes shear and agitation of the fluid.
TXV pumps delivers more fluid per revolution than comparably ported gear pumps. And slower operating speeds mean longer service life and reduced maintenance requirements. These pumps come standard with bronze vanes, and are available in 2.5- and 3-in port sizes.
Features and Benefits
External roller ball bearings support the rotor from both sides, creating a stable environment for the internal mechanical seals
Ideal for handling viscous or shear sensitive fluids
Special open rotor design that offers easy flushing, bronze vanes, FKM elastomers, PTFE lip seals (available on TXV pumps only)
Blackmer mechanical seal and ball-bearing construction provide maximum reliability
Internal mechanical seals allow for extended dry run and continuous operation with non-lubricating liquids
Symmetrical bearing support assures even loading and wear for long life
Slower operating speeds means longer service life and reduced maintenance requirements
High-performance capabilities including self-priming and line clearing
External ball-bearings are isolated from pumpage by mechanical seals to maximize bearing life and minimize contamination risk
