SONICSERT® thread inserts are specially designed for ultrasonic welding. They are available in various versions with nut and bolt threads. Principle The SONICSERT® thread insert is installed using common ultrasonic welding machines. The plastic is plasticised by the ultrasonic vibrations at the welding point and flows into the undercuts of the thread insert. Cooling results in a tight fit with low stress.
