Hepa filters are highly efficient dust particle traps. All filters that provide filtration efficiency between E10 and U17 according to EN 1822-1: 2009 standard are called Hepa Filters. HEPA filters made of glass fiber are a highly effective filtration tool for particles below 1 micron.
Since HEPA filters are made of glass fiber, they cannot be cleaned in any way (with compressed air or water). HEPA filters are used as disposable filters. For this reason, they are not used as main filters in dust filtration. HEPA filters are generally used in dust filtration after cleanable filters, as an absolute filter or as a police filter. Absolute filter means filter through which we can get breathable air and can be given indoors thanks to its high filter efficiency. Police filter means the filter that prevents dust particles from spreading to the environment in case of any leakage in the main filter. HEPA filters are generally used for these 2 purposes.
