Technical features and performance benefits
The heavy duty cast iron headrig (inclined at 17°) and base are able to bear any kind of stress.
Saw pulleys made of nodular cast iron enable a very high speed (up to 55 m/sec) of the double toothed blade. Saw pulley hardness (145 Brinell) makes the saw pulley very resistant to wear, tripling the pulleys lifetime compared to normal cast iron pulleys.
The tempered steel pulley shafts turn on adjustable roller bearings mounted on both pulley sides.
The hydraulic blade tension device coupled with a tank full of nitrogen maintains the preset blade tension, absorbing blade expansion which is common during cutting.
The hydraulic pressure guide device moves the blade 15 mm outwards during cutting and offsets blade pressure during the carriage back run, enabling a higher cutting speed.
Upper saw pulley inclination is electric, lower saw pulley inclination manual.
Hydraulic cylinders operate the blade safety guards.
A pneumatic cylinder activates the blade braking system.
