The 5832 IR Sensor Card is a low-cost alternative to an IR viewer. You can use the card to easily locate near-IR and IR beams within your optical system, and it's the size of a standard business card to make it easy to carry. The active area of the card is made from a phosphorous material that emits visible light when illuminated by an infrared source. The card design embeds the phosphor into the card material, eliminating the thick laminate used to protect the phosphor on other cards. The new design allows you to cut up your card without delamination or degradation of the phosphor material. In addition, the card has both transmissive and reflective surfaces, eliminating the need to purchase two cards. These cards maintain the phosphor flush to the edge so it is easier to check your beam.
