WHAT DOES IT DO? It allows to identify the density variations between healthy wood and deteriorated wood and to make a real-time diagnosis of areas of internal decay of the wooden material under examination. STRENGTHS Feed Curve: allows separate recording of the needle feed resistance and rotation resistance curves; Tilt Sensor: records and indicates on the profile the exact value of the drilling inclination angle; Automatic needle wear and breakage control; Pole inspector: automatic evaluation and sizing of altered portions; Automatic tip replacement. DESCRIPTION The RESI PD, thanks to its innovative features and new ergonomic structure, makes the test simple and intuitive. This instrument measures the resistance opposed by the wood to the penetration of a tip driven by a sophisticated drill. The tip is equipped with a combined rotation and advancement movement. Compared to the RESI F model, this instrument is able to measure, in addition to the resistance to advancement, also the resistance to rotation by recording two separate graphs. The hole left by the tip with a diameter of 3 mm does not cause damage to the structural elements. The RESI PD is able to display the acquired curves on a large display, record them and send them to a PC via cable or Bluetooth in real time. The possibility of regulating the advancement and rotation speed of the tip allows the operator to acquire data that is more easily interpretable.
