Description

What does it do? The DEMEC deformometer is a removable, highly precise and repeatable instrument for measuring linear deformations and displacements. Strengths Available in analog and digital version The ergonomic design and its lightness facilitate measurement operations. Wide range of measuring bases (from 50 up to 2,000 mm) The deformometer consists of an invar bar which, with its low thermal expansion coefficient (about 10 -6 K -1 in length, one tenth of steel), is used for precision mechanical devices. High accuracy and resolution (up to ± 3 * 10 -6 microstrain) Description The deformometer consists of an invar bar at the ends of which are mounted two heads equipped with conical tips, one of the heads is fixed, while the other is free to rotate a certain amount around a special knife. The conical tips of the instrument must be positioned in the small holes of special stainless steel benchmarks already applied, with the aid of the supplied template, to the structure to be checked with a suitable adhesive. The readings indicated on the micrometer refer to the movement of the rotating head resulting from any movement of the benchmarks due to deformations and must be compared to the initial zero values. This highly precise instrument for measuring linear deformations on concrete and masonry structures, with a wide range of measurement bases (from 50 to 2,000 mm). Also available in the digital version which mounts a digital comparator with a resolution of 0.001 mm, equipped with a zeroing device for statistical data management. The electronic comparator, powered by batteries, can be connected to a data processor for recording and analyzing the readings detected.
