SpiderNet is a web software platform (in Cloud) that allows the management of complex monitoring systems and plants of different types (structural, environmental, geotechnical monitoring, etc.). This service mainly offered in SaaS (Software as a Service) mode allows the visualization of data acquired in the field from different types of data loggers (eDAS Boviar, Dymas Solgeo, CR Series Campbell), can be used via a normal web browser without the need to install additional software packages and from any device that can access the internet (PC, tablet, smartphone). SpiderNet represents a technologically advanced solution for the management of monitoring systems, as it combines the advantages of web browsing (it does not require any installation and the interface is made available via web pages that can be consulted from a Browser), with the potential of the internet, offering an AA (always and anywhere) service. This advanced monitoring platform therefore represents the next generation of Big Data and Fast Data analysis platforms, where Big Data means the collection of large amounts of data in terms of volume, speed and variety, which requires tools that go beyond a structured data storage approach, and require specific technologies and analytical methods for the extrapolation of values, for this reason SpiderNet is supported by an advanced NoSQL system for the management of Big Data structures.
