Investigate various properties of powders (including PVC, flour) such as liquid absorption and drying time according to international standards.
Your advantages
• MetaBridge Connect: Torque is recorded on Brabender drives
• Industry-oriented: Mixer design corresponds to common industrial mixers
• Flexible: Suitable for a wide range of applications
• Accurate: Homogeneous mixing of the material without material residues on the vessel wall
Connected to a Farinograph, the P600 can be used to mix rye dough or sand masses. Dough hooks, flat dough whippers and balloon whisks serve as mixing tools for this purpose.
As an attachment to a Brabender drive unit (e.g. MetaStation), the P600 is used to analyze the material properties of powders, such as additives, plasticizers, inorganic minerals, PVC pastes, and the pourability of PVC dry blends.
The mixer bowl is double-walled (heating/cooling jacket) and is heated/cooled with water or oil by a circulation thermostat. The temperature of the mixer wall is measured with an angular thermometer the sensor tip of which can be inserted through the right side of the mixer bowl. The melt temperature is registered continuously by a thermocouple screwed through the bottom of the mixer bowl. A special rotor runs in a planetary movement in the mixer bowl for compounding and mixing the material to be tested. A revolving scraper prevents the material from sticking to the mixer wall.
A certain amount of sample material is poured into the preheated mixer bowl of the planetary mixer and compounded in dry condition. After a defined period of time, the liquid (e. g. plasticizer or water) is added, and the compounding process is continued.
