As an extruder attachment for a modular drive unit, the Brabender 19/20 measuring extruder is used for processing thermoplastics as well as ceramic and electrode compounds. The product is molten and homogenized within the heated extruder barrel and transported by the screw to the die head on the discharge side. During this process, various parameters can be measured and recorded for subsequent evaluation. Principle The sample is added through a feeding opening and extruded. During the test, sensors and controllers measure relevant values such as temperature and pressure. The measurement provides you with descriptive values, which you can use to establish a correlation between the process and the product. This allows you to specifically adjust product properties and optimize your extrudate.
