Automatic dry squaring machine for ceramic tiles and slabs
The high rotation speed of the gauging spindles, its structural solidity and reduced maintenance costs make Ghibli the ideal solution for rectification of ceramic tiles and slabs.
High rotation speed to reduce rejects caused by chipping
The gauging spindles are specifically designed and assembled in Breton's plants to operate at rotation speeds of up to 4,900 rpm. These spindles with HSC (high speed cutting) technology, with significantly higher rotation speed than market standards, make it possible to obtain finer machining dust, thus reducing rejection of materials due to chipping damage.
Dynamic balancing of the spindle shaft drastically reduces vibration, limiting heat generation and thus extending spindle working life.
Higher productivity thanks to automatic setting
Thanks to the automatic gauging tools positioning system, the removal cone set-up operations can be performed in a matter of minutes. During start-up or size change procedures the combined action of the precision lasers located on each bench and the brushless motors that control high precision movement of each spindle, make it possible to read the position of individual grinding wheels automatically. This approach aids creation of a balanced removal cone resulting in longer tool life.
Reinforced structure and optimised ergonomics
Each detail of the structure has been checked by means of FEM analysis, further stiffening the parts most subject to distortion due to thermal expansion. This solution reduces vibrations, thereby benefiting precision of the finished product.
