Status indication. Protection modes: (+) → PE, (-) → PE, (+) → (-). Location of use: Photovoltaic systems – PV module side. Conform to IEC61643-31 and EN61643-31. Application: Surge protection device for the protection of photovoltaic systems from direct and indirect lightning discharge. For photovoltaic systems on/on buildings with external lightning protection Available for photovoltaic applications with a generator voltage of up to 1200 V. Available as type 1 and type 2 combined lightning current and surge arresters as well as type 2 only surge arrester protective devices. Installation instruction: These units must be installed in parallel on the DC networks to be protected and provide common mode protection. These protectors are recommended when a direct lightning strike is possible on the installation. DC surge arrester are designed to protect equipment connected to DC power supplies from lightning surges. This dc surge protection is specially designed for photo-voltaic applications.
