Every server needs an adequately dimensioned air conditioning system if the data center is to remain highly available. A proper interaction between air conditioning - ventilation - data rack design is necessary to enable a reasonable cooling. The best way to achieve this is with an oversized air conditioning system (which we usually implement redundantly) and partially open server racks. Since our security cells are dust-tight, it is possible to equip all server racks with perforated doors or side walls and to ventilate them via a common air conditioning system.
