Plastic wheels: flexible, resilient and convincing
The plastic wheels from BS Rollen are used in a wide variety of industries. Since plastics are very versatile and can have different properties, plastic castors are a good choice for transport tasks in industry, for example in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Plastic wheels consist completely of plastic, i.e. both the wheel body and the tread.
Polyamide plastic wheels
Due to its high load capacity, low rolling resistance and high abrasion resistance, many of these wheels are made of polyamide. The material, which is usually injection-moulded and, at high load capacities, also cast, also has excellent resistance to environmental influences such as cleaning agents, oils, salts, bases or acids and also good temperature resistance. For this reason, polyamide is highly economical to use in many applications, also due to its good resistance to cleaning.
Other materials for plastic wheels
Alternatively, plastic wheels made of polypropylene are used. This material has a slightly lower resistance to environmental influences, but offers an excellent price-performance ratio. Extremely heat-resistant plastic wheels are made of phenolic resin - a thermosetting plastic - or thermoplastic compounds. They can be used up to + 350 °C or for short periods up to 400 °C. As you can see: You have many different options to choose from, so that you can easily adapt the selected wheels to your company's requirements.
