The modular drive system in this product series is the only product in the industry that allows the user to configure a single machine for various automated applications. In addition to this, the MDS produces precise and accurate welds and cuts, while the Master Drive Unit comes with a high torque and low inertia motor, which allows precise stops, starting a dedicated fail-safe brake, with three times the stopping and holding power of the motor. Next, the unit also comes equipped with motor overload protection functionality, turning the motor off and engaging the brake whenever placing an excessive load on the machine. The Master Drive feature, at the same time, and the closed loop speed, allows repeatable control of critical welding and cutting parameters, while the closed lop position control prevents creep. The alternative control modules allow the system to perform continuous wave welding, beveling, stripping and programmable shape units.
