The ZR/R bead mill series is designed for products with low to medium viscosity. In the process zone with rotating rotor and drum, differential peripheral speeds up to 21 m/s are possible. Variable overdrives between rotor and drum achieve a highly efficient centrifugal bead separation adjusted to product viscosity. The controlled and definable bead pressure enables optimized grinding intensity for each product.
High power density with small grinding chamber
The extremely high power density up to 5 kW/l and the centrifugal bead separation result in optimal conditions for grinding applications down to the nanometer range.
The power input of the ZR180 is between 40 and 50 kW, with a grinding chamber volume of 12 liters.
Centrifugal separation with rotating safety screen
The centrifugal principle allows the use of 0.10.8 mm beads for a wide range of viscosities.
High recirculation flow rates up to 5.000 l/h enable narrow particle size distributions and, in combination with the external product cooling, the grinding of temperature-sensitive products.
Ultra-fine dispersing for large batches
The high flow rate capability guarantees a steady continuous operation.
Due to the low-maintenance mechanical seal, downtimes are minimized.
