BVM Portable Pelicase PC – Oil, Gas & Renewable Energies :- Portable Electronic Test Equipment with High Bright Display – Integration of suitable electronics into Pelicase 1400 enclosure Design Requirements BVM to design & manufacture a test system for deployment use in an extremely harsh environment, incorporating the clients measurement systems with appropriate i/o in a compact portable unit. The challenge; to provide a capable PC system performance via the integration of a 3.5” single board computer with Intel Elkhart Lake Celeron processor housed in a sealed unit. Due to the location of deployment (Oil Rigs) the system had to be waterproof certified to IP 65 both in storage and operation. The solution also needed to accommodate the integration of custom electronics to facilitate rapid component measurement with the provision of bespoke cooling to ensure system temperature remained stable.
