Description

The new C.Scope MXL2 Locator is a high performance Locator specifically designed to detect, identify and trace specific buried pipes and cables reliably and accurately, even in the most congested areas. It is especially useful for those that wish to identify the route of a particular pipe or cable such as utility technicians or maintenance engineers. The new MXL2 from C.Scope has been designed to set a new benchmark in excavating safety as well as still delivering all the advantages and familiar operating practices associated with the original MXL. The MXL2 is loaded with new features which enable operators to find more buried utilities by delivering improved levels of performance and helping to reduce the effects of human error. The MXL2 Pipe and Cable Locator is driven by powerful Digital Signal Processor Technology. Advanced software programming enables the MXL2 to attain performance levels normally only associated with high end pipe and cable surveying instruments. The MXL2 delivers improved signal detection sensitivity and better noise rejection so the locator is capable of detecting the smallest of signals even in areas of high service density and electrical noise. The new simultaneous 33+131kHz signal detection give the MXL2 even greater tracing and detecting capabilities. The 33+131kHz signal detection is ideal for general utility location and detects more smaller buried pipes and cables such as telecoms, sheathed fibre optics and street lighting spurs, 8kHz traces deeper and over longer distances and the ultra low frequency 512/640Hz signal is invaluable for specialist tracing.
