The GL ... F4 – D2 Series features fits between the GL freewheel, the F2 fixing flange and the D2 cover flange. Normally the flanged freewheel is fitted by the customer in the required direction of rotation by using the paper gaskets and screws supplied (without the gaskets, the freewheel can be badly damaged). Shaft tolerances must be h6 or j6 and the tolerances of the driven part must be either D6 or H6. Torque forces are transmitted from the shaft to the inner race by means of a key and from the outer race to the driven part by means of screws. The driven part (pulley, gear etc.) is centered on the protrusion D6h7 of flange F4. Either grease or oil lubrication must be applied to the freewheels before operation, following instructions given on page 12.
