GV Series freewheels are with rollers, centering between the inner race and outer race is carried out by means of bushes. The torque forces are transmitted from the shaft to the inner race by means of a key. Shaft tolerance must be h6. When the freewheel is used as a non return device, the lever fixed to the outer race must be sandwiched between two brackets; otherwise a pin must be inserted in the looped hole. When locked to the frame of a machine, it stops the freewheel rotating. If the freewheel is used as an intermittent feed, the lever must be attached lengthways using the hole for a pushrod or similar. In any case, to avoid overloading the bushes, the lever must be given a certain amount of clearance to allow for the axial movement. The freewheel is supplied already greased.
