The Surge Protection Devices (SPD) protect the photovoltaic system against excess voltage induced by atmospheric discharge (lightening) For the protection of the field side in photovoltaic installations, under direct current upstream of the inverter, Cabur offers four models with intervention at 500 - 600 - 800 - 1000 V. The SPD under AC are inserted downstream of the inverter, in the photovoltaic sheets. Models with voltages from 230 to 400 AC are available with varistore technology (MOV - Metal Oxide Varistor) and to discharge gas (GDT - Gas Distrage Tube) in individual modules, which can be composed according to need and system type.
