The BB976 Portable Blackbody Calibration Source is specially developed to calibrate non-contact infrared thermometers over the temperature range 30°C to 550°C. The device proves highly suitable as primary radiation source for infrared thermometers. The device with a blend of high sensitivity and excellent temperature uniformity ensures laboratory performance and low uncertainty calibrations. The block temperature is set to any values from 30°C to 550°C using the digital temperature controller.
A separate built-in temperature indicator and included platinum resistance thermometer enables to trace the radiance temperature and comes with a three point traceable calibration certificate. The resistance thermometer is available with UKAS calibration as is radiometric calibration. Distributed heating technology ensures uniform block. BB976 may be used with ITS-90 Fixed Point Cells, Gallium 29.7646°C, Indium 156.5985°C, Tin 231.928°C and Zinc 419.527°C for minutest uncertainties.
