Installed close to the dock door, a number of steel sections are built one inside the other and stored in a base section. When a truck pulls up to the door, the operator extends the telescopic belt conveyor by moving the joystick or pressing the smart pad. The sections of the belt conveyor extend inside the trailer and the belt travels with the conveyor. When the operator reaches the loading/unloading area, the telescopic conveyor is in place, ready for action. The operator places each item onto the conveyor and the belt transports the item along its length, where it either continues to another conveyor or is off-loaded to a pallet.
