Description

The CAREL E3V electronic expansion valves cover a range of cooling capacities up to 180kW, and represent the Carel solution for medium-capacity valves. The E3V has been designed with special care to the minimum details, so as to ensure a wide control capacity and at the same time guarantee high reliability with fluid flow in both directions: the latter feature is especially useful and advantageous for heat pump applications. This product has been designed to be installed as the expansion valve in refrigerant circuits, and uses a pressure probe and temperature probe to calculate superheat, which is used as the control signal. The E3V-Smart version brings improved performance to the vast range of E3V series products, thanks to the new composite movable element and the addition of a filter to protect the gasket. This solution ensures significant improvements in performance, as well as the possibility to operate at refrigerant temperatures up to 100 °C. Sizes 55 and 65 are fitted with two-pole motors, while size 35 has a single-pole motor; size 45 can be equipped with either. Resistance to high temperatures offers completely new opportunities for hot gas injection applications, with a new model called "E3V-H Smart HOT GAS" also available, in sizes 45, 55, 65.
