Description

Carlisle Brake & Friction's Twin Boosted Master Cylinder utilizes patented hydraulic boost assist technology to reduce pedal efforts by up to 90%, when compared to traditional master cylinders. This enables vehicle manufacturers to provide premium braking performance for their customers with automotive pedal feeling, for reduced driver fatigue and improved driver comfort. Secondary braking requirements can be achieved without the need for system accumulators, generating free space in the engine compartment, reducing the brake system cost and complexity and simplifying compliance with regulations. ADDITIONAL PRODUCT DETAILS Progressive and controllable braking response throughout the entire pedal stroke Steer by brake function with full pressure compensation for twin pedal applications Wide range of master cylinder diameters and boost ratios available for optimum vehicle performance Common form factor across all boosted master cylinders to simplify cab design across multiple vehicle platforms Improved product lifetime due to PTFE sealing technology Self-bleeding design to prevent air accumulation in the brake system Low pressure boost supply requirement enables operation from the vehicles transmission pump Minimized oil consumption due to closed center design for reduced hydraulic system demand Metric and imperial porting options for simplified vehicle connectivity Twin and twin tandem configurations available
