The PSS/PXS series is a proximity detector and safety sensor. When opening protection hood or covers on a dangerous device, the series perform safety. The sensor consist of a coded magnet P3000100 and a monitoring unit. This magnet lessens the possibilities of fraudulent actions. The unit can watch 2 O contacts. The sensor complies with European directives according to EN 60204, EN 1088, EN 954. The sensor can perform safety function on 3 or 4 category when using the right monitoring unit. Some of the components are redundant. The redundant circuit will continue running if one part is defective. The sensor's monitoring unit checks whether the sensor signal comes in a specific order. An alarm will be given if it does not come in specific order.
