Our inhouse designed CTS Fuel Recirculation Unit was designed and developed to prevent diesel fuel inside a storage tank from getting stagnant - especially those which aren't regularly used but are still vitally important, such as generator back up tanks.
When fuel is left for long periods of time it starts to become stagnant, resulting in a microbial growth also known as "diesel bugs" forming and joining together to form a nasty biofilm. By circulating your fuel regularly, it will remain free of contaminants, costly damage and downtime can be avoided.
The fuel storage tank circulation system draws the fuel up from the front of the tank through the magnetic conditioner, stunning the bugs and breaking them down to a size that can pass through a two stage water and particle filtration process removing any impurities. The cleaner fuel is then circulated back into the tank, before the bugs have been able to join together and create the nasty sludge.
There are two versions; one for circulating up to 3000 litres per day for tanks up to 40,000 litres, and another for circulating up to 4000 litres per day for tanks up to 70,000 litres.
