Description

The Locotransformers by CG are utilized for railway applications. It decreases the voltage level needed by motors in the railway engines. The 3900 kVA Foil Wound, 5400 kVA Foil Wound, 6500 kVA and 7500 kVA for 3-phase Loco are transformers intended for seismic and short-circuit conditions. The transformers are supplied with an H-class conductor insulation, and filled with silicone oil. The device is constructed with a compact and reliable design due to the OFAF or ODAF cooling applied. When the active part is mounted horizontally, the height of the device is reduced. The transformer has low dimension and weight limits. It operates with a voltage of 25kV, and has a maximum operating power of 10MVA. The power system ensures low cost, long useful life, and minimal maintenance.
