When the ABS is under load (non-magnetized) in a magnetic brake, its design causes the spring of the coil to hold the brake piece in place and create braking torque through its friction. When the coil is energized and magnetized the armature with its primary brake piece is compressed further and the magnetic core is attracted so that braking action stops. If the magnetic current is cut off the tension of the coil spring will cause the armature to hold the brake piece in place so that the brake is activated.
Features
Safe and secure control: Steady torque levels for fast control of loads even in abnormal conditions. This is a highly reliable and safe type of clutch.
Quiet action: This brake has no bothersome high pitched whine and can be used in the quietest locations with no problems.
Adjustable torque: Shifting the adjustable band changes the amount of torque; moreover, the dual drive design reduces torque levels significantly for the safest possible operation.
Dust cover: A plastic cover on the ABS model ensures reliable operation even in the dirtiest environment.
Manual release: Braking action can be obtained even under load by pulling the release lever (ABS model).
Long life: Durable friction materials mean long useful life with no need fr changes.
Easy assembly and adjustment: The unit is fast and simple to install and adjust.
