The EAS®-axial is a positive-locking, disengaging torque limiting clutch.
If a blockage occurs in the system (overload), the set release force is exceeded and the EAS®-axial disengages. The pin shifts, the shifting segments are pressed outwards. The rigid connection between the element and the bolt is released.
A residual force of 15 - 20 % of the setting value remains. Re-engagement takes place automatically on restart by pulling back or pushing the bolt back to the original position.
