The EAS® -dutytorque is a positive-locking, disengaging safety clutch based on the ball-sink principle.
The clutch protects the drive train against impermissibly high torque surges which may occur due to unforeseen blockages. During operation, the set torque is transmitted from the hub via the pressure flange or flange hub to the output. If the set torque is exceeded, the clutch disengages. During disengagement, the pins in the overload elements perform an axial movement (stroke) and remain in the disengaged position. Re-engagement takes place manually.
