Description

The perfect elevator brake for compact drives Two independent brake circuits in one compact brake block ROBA®-twinstop® are spring-applied, electromagnetic brakes. In the de-energised state, compression springs press against the armature disks. The rotor with the friction linings is thus held between the armature disks and the screw mounting surface of the machine. The motor shaft is braked via the rotor. The magnetic force of the coils in the coil carrier pulls the armature discs against the spring pressure against the coil carrier. The brake is free and the shaft can run through.
