Finstrip® elements are specially designed to open coil elements when the heating coil is fully covered in a metal sheath. They are also designed to decrease the risk of shock due to accidental contact with the heater.
The Finstrip includes the rigid metal sheath that is used for minimizing electrical shorting and hot spots, expected when the coil elements are opened.
The typical application temperatures reach up to 565°F.
The finned tubular Fintube® elements provide the same advantages as the finned strip heater.
They include some additional features like special bending configurations to provide higher concentrations of installed kW for a certain area.
The elements can be equipped with bulkhead threaded fittings, and hermetically sealed terminals. They can also have an extra heavy wall thickness for use in atmospheres containing dangerous fumes or gasses.
With the diameters of 0.315" and 0.475", the elements have high temperature aluminum steel sheath and furnace brazed as the most common materials.
