GENERAL FEATURES
• The crusher is a machine especially designed for crushing hard clay, either moist or dry.
• The lumps coming from the quarry are broken up in order to be processed in the subsequent machines, namely mills or rolling mills.
• The crusher is composed of an electrowelded steel structure, which carries the reduction gear and a hopper containing two cylinders featuring hooks. The reduction gear is connected to the cylinders by means of two couplings.
• The cylinders are composed of a square shaft that carries hooks and spacers covering the entire length of the opper. The first set of hooks is fitted in such as manner as to exert its action in the area correspomding to the spacers of the second section.
• Thanks to the two cylinders operating at different speeds and to the special shape of the hooks, the machine is suitable for processing hard clay. Two sets of scrapers, which are easy to adjust, reach into the grooves of the spacers to ensure that they are thoroughly cleaned.
• Motion is guaranteed by a sheave, which is fitted with a torque control device to prevent breakage of the machine’s mechanical components.
• This equipment can be adjusted by means of an adjuster nut.
• When operating stress exceeds the established threshold, the torque control device is activated to interrupt transmission of motion.
• To prevent wear of the ferodo ring, the motor can be stopped by means of a limit switch or by a speed detecting device that cuts off the motor’s power supply circuit.
INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY
• As a general rule, and on condition that transport conditions allow for this, the crusher is generally delivered fully assembled.
