The CleanAir isokinetic sampling system allows the sampling of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH). It is a variation of the basic model (dust), but in a version that includes nozzles and a Pyrex sheath with a bubbler compartment that houses specific glassware (identical for Dioxins and Furans).
This system allows a gas or vapour sample to be taken continuously from a stack while maintaining the same velocity characteristics as at the point of sampling. The particles are deposited on a filter and the PAHs are absorbed by a specific resin (supplied by environmental laboratories). The hot gases are conditioned in a series of cold bubblers. Condensate is trapped and a volumetric meter (DGM) measures the total volume of dry gas flow collected.
The use of this system must be entrusted to a user trained in a specific methodology. The flow rate at the sampling point must be known and communicated to CleanAir Europe for the feasibility of the project.
