This probe can be inserted into closed pipelines with different diameters through two flanges, ANSI 150 (other on request).
Turbidity of the sample is measured according to nephelometric principle, 90°.
701H and 701G probes can withstand high temperatures high pressures.
Measuring system includes a light source and a light receiver. The emitted light beam hits the liquid surface and is scattered by the suspended particles in the sample. The scattered light is measured at 90° (light scattering 90°); the intensity of this scattering is proportional to suspended solid content in the sample. This system is based on a single light beam and is called 'nephelometric'. Measuring units are NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units).
Power supply to the cell is highly stabilized in order to assure a constant intensity of the emitted light; light source assures a long term stability (many years) for the emitted light (594 nm). Light receiver is large surface, CdS type, encapsulated into a stainless steel housing sealed under vacuum conditions and responds to 550 - 600 nm light.
The probe body is made in AISI 316L stailness steel, Viton seals, 3' diameter (other on request) and 358 mm length, and it is flanged on both sides, (ANSI 150 flanges, other to be selected on the order code).
Light source and light receiver are encapsulated in two optical groups facing the process through properly shaped windows.
The probe Mod.701G4AxA0 is supplied c/w chemical cleaning system. The cleaning sequence can be directly driven by uP transmitter).
