SP belts, also known as narrow V-belts, are the narrowest and highest version of conventional belts. Their main advantage lies in the greater contact surface with the pulleys, enabling them to transmit more power. The last letter of the part number (Z, A, B or C) identifies the belt width: SPZ with 9.7 mm width, SPA with 12.7 mm width, SPB with 16.3 mm width and SPC with 22 mm width. SP belts are designed to provide efficient power transmission in tight spaces where a narrower belt is required.
Conditions of use :
✔️ Belts must be correctly sized for the load and power they will have to support.
✔️ Belts must be compatible with the temperature conditions to which they will be exposed.
✔️ Belts must be correctly tensioned and aligned to ensure optimum operation.
✔️ Belts must be selected according to their maximum operating speed to avoid problems of slipping, overheating or premature deterioration.
✔️ Special lubricants may be required to reduce friction between teeth and improve transmission efficiency.
