The Verticoater: a versatile solution The Verticoater is a pilot coater that can be used for one or two-side simultaneous substrate coating with a variety of application systems like roller driven systems, doctor blades, slot dies, impregnation foulard, etc. The vertical drying system has choices of dryer height and length and layouts that deliver an efficient hot air flow on all sides of the web. The Verticoater can be equipped with calenders and other options like edge trimming. It is available in working widths of 200, 500 or 1,000 mm. Applications include textile, foil, paper, lithium polymer batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries and hydrogen fuel cell membranes.
