The universal swivel shackle for offshore DSS is a double swivel ring. It is specially designed for simultaneously lifting and rotating loads. Its double swivel action ensures perfect alignment with the sling. It consists of a GRADUP steel ring that can swivel under the load. The ring swivels 180°, but has a rotating range of 360°. DSS offshore lifting rings have a safety factor of 4 and 5, which means that their breaking load is four or five times greater than the capacity indicated in the technical sheet. The model is also available with total zinc lamellar coating (OS.DSS). Ideal within the maritime, offshore and wind power sectors this model includes a DNV GL’s « Type Approval certificate ». The obtainment of this certificate is an important stage in being able to more effectively address DNV GL official certification requests required by specifications or following a specific request. CODIPRO has selected the most frequently-requested DSS ring models and is offering two separate “offshore” ranges which are covered by the “TAS00001ZG Type Approval” certificate: •DSS standard for internal and external use in “normal” environments; •OS.DSS with total zinc lamellar coating in metric and UNC, for external use in environments subject to corrosion by sea salt and other applications requiring superior protection against corrosion. Each swivel lifting ring is delivered with a user manual and a certificate of compliance. They are ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified in keeping with essential safety requirements.
