The PSF80x low-cost flow sensor, offered by COMECO, is manufactured by SWISSFLOW. The patented Swissflow technology is the basis for the highgrade liquid flow meters. The rotor housing with its special geometry, the light-weight Vectra® rotor (0.04 g) and a radial liquid flow make the rotor float. This floating movement is the source of a mechanical resistance hardly capable of measuring, which ensures a long service life, a high accuracy and linearity. The 3-vane rotor interrupts an infrared signal that is converted into a pulse by the integrated electronics. The unique rotor design provides a high-pressure (up to 250 bar) operation. The material types used (PVDF, Vectra®, Viton®) have an exceptional chemical and thermal (up to 90 °C) resistance. Other ranges except the standard flow range from 0.5 to 20 l/min are available on request. The sophisticated design makes the PSF80x sensor suitable for universal application and offers excellent price-to-performance ratio.
