The Battery Cell Simulator is a simulation and test environment to validate energy storage and automotive BMS control units. The BCS "Mid-Size" version provides 48 to 96 battery cell simulation cores to simulate entire battery cell stacks, featuring highly accurate voltage outputs, high-current active and passive balancing, cell and wire failure insertion as well as sophisticated current and coulomb measurement capabilities.
Completing the test environment a respective no. of NTC/PTC temperature simulation channels, isolation failure simulation functions and battery current sensor simulation cores can be added based on actual demand.
The BCS test system can be utilized as non-realtime or realtime HiL environment providing open CAN and Ethercat communication interfaces.
A PC-based operation GUI and battery models complete the modular framework.
