The Comexi S1 DS slitter is a multi-purpose and modular machine that will allow converters to cover a large variety of jobs, specially conceived for big diameters in the rewinder. This top of the range slitter delivers excellent results both in productivity and quality even in the most demanding jobs. Configurable in different modules depending on the productivity required. Thanks to its robust design, it can produce high-diameter reels at the output at very high working speeds. Its regulation and control components enable to produce difficult-to-handle jobs easily. Thus, the Comexi S1 DS can work with the thickest materials on the flexible market, including aluminium, wax or non-woven. The Comexi S1 DS offers different levels of automation including Positioning of knives and counter knives in a completely automatic fasion; therefore, circular knives and razor blades are positioned rapidly and accurately reducing changeover between jobs. Other automation such as core positioning or automated assistance in different areas of the machine is also available. It offers the highest quality thanks to the use of a NIP to isolate the tension between unwinding and rewinding, a horizontal lay-on-roller rewinding system for extra stability, independent motors on each shaft as an option and true tension readings. The S1-DS has amazing acceleration rates and high production speeds that increase the average speed and the overall machine uptime.
