Description

A breakthrough in rupture disc design: the LOTRX rupture disc. The LOTRX rupture disc has all the benefits of our scored, reverse-acting discs, and more — a failure-initiating indent to lower the pressure at which reversal occurs and a notched outlet ring to facilitate opening of the rupture disc along a precision semicircular score — making it the perfect solution for extremely low-pressure applications. The LOTRX rupture disc features a failure-initiating indent and a precision semicircular score – two features to ensure clean, consistent opening patterns, even at low reversal pressure. It also includes a back-pressure support inlet ring to permit operation under full vacuum conditions for burst pressure ratings 5 psig (0,345 barg) and above. The LOTRX is ideal for primary or secondary system relief protection and provides an effective means of fugitive emission control when used to isolate a safety relief valve. We test every LOTRX rupture disc order for compressible or incompressible relief conditions (as required by your application) to optimize service life and rupture disc performance. LOTRX rupture discs are manufactured and tested for compressible (gas or vapor) relief conditions only and may not function properly in an incompressible (liquid) application. Optional features: -Fluoropolymer outlet protective cover available for corrosion protection on the vent side of the rupture disc and holder in 1″ (above 4 psig) and 1 1/2″-8″ (all pressures) -Fluoropolymer coating is available for corrosion protection on the process and vent side of the rupture disc -Cleaning for oxygen or chlorine service
