Description

A volumetric feeder is suitable for applications where in a high degree of feed rate accuracy is unnecessary. It can be used in gain-in-weight batch operations. A screw feeder is considered a common and economic volumetric feeder. Coperion K-Tron's single and twin screw volumetric feeding equipment are available in different sizes to satisfy feed rate requirements, and solve material handling problems. Some are developed for fast material changes, and allow configuration for various material properties. Others provide an easy clean up, and satisfy food and pharmaceutical sanitary requirements. The Bulk Solid Pump (BSP) is a volumetric feeder that ensures higher accuracy compared to gravimetric feeders. The twin screw volumetic feeder handles more difficult materials like pigments, sticky, bridging or flooding powders, fiber, and fiber glass.
